This is a hot debate in every online forum. Some of this is based on opinion and some on bias. I think a lot of this comes from the lineage that is available in ones local area and then backwards justifying why this is the best lineage with the “true masters.”
Master of Wing Chun
The most objective answer is probably do your own research, take some trial classes and decide what is best for you.
As there are many opinions, we will express one to you. As a fan of Bruce Lee, how many find their way to Wing Chun, Ip Man is the obvious master many students seek. For authentic forms handed down from Ip Man, many modern masters learned directly from the sons of Ip Man, Ip Ching and Ip Chun. In the Western World, Sam Chan and Samuel Kwok are 2 masters that speak Cantonese and learned directly from Ip Ching/Ip Chun and have similar forms to each other further confirming the authenticity.
